Agua de Sandia (Watermelon Water)

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium seedless watermelon, cut into chunks
  • 3-4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Lime wedges, for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  • Place the watermelon chunks and 2 cups of water in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Strain (optional): If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the blended watermelon mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher.
  • Add the sugar to the pitcher and stir until dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
  • Add the remaining water to the pitcher and stir. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight.
  • Serve over ice, garnished with lime wedges.
